What is it?
An online database providing detailed profiles for over 700 occupations. Users can search a range of categories to access specific information about the types of occupation they’re interested in, including hours, income, training and environment.

Who is it for?
It is suitable for anyone who wants to find out more about occupations relevant to them. It provides the user with the extra detail they need to help them decide which career path to take.

What are the key benefits?
The tool is:

  • a good starting point - users can follow links or phone for more information
  • accessible - it’s free and available online
  • easy to use - occupations are grouped in relevant, easy-to-search categories (eg education and training, medicine and nursing)
